Terms of Service
Effective date: January 1, 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using Appalachian Ignite Lab, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activities under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Courses and certificates
Completion certificates reflect successful completion of knowledge-based assessments. Employers remain responsible for required hands-on practice and site-specific training.
4. Payments and refunds
- Prices are shown before tax unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers. We do not store full payment card details.
- Refunds may be granted within 14 days if less than 20% of the course is completed, except where prohibited by law.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the platform, attempt to breach security, or share answers to assessments.
- Do not upload unlawful or harmful content.
6. Intellectual property
All course materials are owned by Appalachian Ignite Lab or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to access content for personal or organizational training.
7. Safety disclaimer
Training content is educational and cannot guarantee outcomes in real emergencies. For fires beyond incipient stage or when in doubt, evacuate and contact emergency services.
8. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or create risk to others. You may stop using the service at any time.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
